As Savannah State University celebrated its Homecoming, alumni and families brought out the very best to share at tailgate. Each family brings a dish that is special to them.

Tory June was working his magic during Saturday's events.

"I am here on the grill grilling, chicken, ribs and burgers with my most prize special homemade sauce barbecue sauce," he said.

June said he created a special sauce because he does not like the barbecue sauces in the store because they don't make him happy so he decided to create his own.

Savannah State University has a large turnout for tailgating at Homecoming, when alumni return to support the school and visit friends. Lots of people come out to show off their special cooking skills and to just have a very great time. Those cooking skills are left as secrets for some.

“I will not share my recipe with anyone because this was made from the heart and not everyone gets my heart," said June. "The recipe came from my mother’s recipe of sauce, but I just added my own twist. The meaning behind it is love. When you are loved everything is right and you will love my sauce, so your food will be right. I bring it every year for Homecoming because I love for people to try it and I love to cook for people.”
