Amazon wants to help students save money on their entertainment costs. IGN recently announced that Amazon Student Prime members can now get Amazon Music Unlimited for $0.99 a month.

For the students that don’t have an Amazon Prime account, first time members can sign up and receive a 6-month free trial period that includes Amazon Prime free 2 day shipping, Amazon Prime streaming service and allows for students to still receive the Amazon Music Unlimited at the $0.99 price point.

The free two-day shipping can help with ordering books, tools and other essentials for college life. It’s entertainment at a low price making them long study nights that much easier.

“It's good because you get books, well anything really, in two days. It’s also great because shipping can get expensive, and some sites have a spending limit to receive free shipping,” said Keeanna Thrash, mass communications student at Savannah State University. “But I had to pay like $50. I didn’t know they had a 6-month free for students.”

For the students with a little more flexibility in their coins, Amazon is also offering individuals that sign up for 1 month of Amazon Music Unlimited for $7.99 receive a 3rd Gen Echo Dot for $.99 which is normally priced at $49.99.
