Homecoming has kicked officially kicked off and with PRAISE! Although this year’s festivities are much different from what we are all use to experiencing this time of year, The Campus Activity Board (CAB) still found a way to give us an awesome week of virtual activities.

Sunday, students joined Grace Christian Church of Columbia & Host Aaron Bishop in some Sunday praise. People tuned in to the the exciting service Grace Christian Church provided for us. We sang, praised, prayed and fellowshipped together.

The sermon was a continuation of the Church’s “No Gut No Glory” series, a message to encourage us to chase to keep our destiny’s. A perfect message for our SSU Tigers, this year has been tough for us all & we don’t know when life will return back to what we knew it to be but it is important that we keep our spirits up and keep positive energy around us.

SSU thanks Grace Christian Church of Columbia for the wonderful words of encouragement, beautiful performances and most of all helping us kick off yet another Amazing Homecoming!

Pastor Aaron Bishop left us with 3 points

Stay Different, own your gifts and responsibilities.

Stay dedicated to what has been given to you. Live and love life to the fullest!

Stay Determined, push forward. Walk by faith not by sight.

Remember Tigers, Mask Up, Stay Safe and most importantly have fun! It’s HOMEEEEEEEECOMINGGGGGGGGG!
