The fall season is upon us here in Savannah and with it comes the Coastal Empire Fair.

2019 marks the seventieth year that the Exchange Club of Savannah has operated the Coastal Empire Fair, originally created as a fundraiser. This has secured funds for many youth organizations in the coastal region, including the Salvation Army.

The fair's opening night took place on Oct. 31, Halloween. The ride lines were jam-packed and locals and tourists carried around bags of cotton candy and candy apples. Trick or treaters ran around in their costumes, making the fair look like a scene out of an Avengers movie.

The animal petting attraction, the colorful LED lights beaming from the rollercoasters, the food trucks, and even the potential prize-winning games were all a sight to see and could make an adult feel like a kid again.

The Coastal Empire Fair is located at the Savannah Exchange Club, open from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. from October 31 until Nov. 10. It is a family-friendly event, allowing everyone to enjoy the event.
