To help students wind down from a hectic school year and to create a relaxed environment ahead of finals, Savannah State Athletics is hosting the “Relaxation Station” for its student athletes.

Student athletes are invited to join the department for light refreshments, games and karaoke on Friday. Finals start Monday, May 6.

Yan Mastin, sophomore third basemen on the baseball team, said, “I think it’s great that SSU does something like this for the student athletes. Easing the mind before finals is important, and can assist many students when it comes to passing.”

Kendall Harris, athletics academic advisor, helped plan the event.

“We wanted to show our appreciation for all the hard work they do, both in the classroom and within their respected sport," Harris said. "We hope to make this a continuing thing moving forward, with slight modifications in order to keep it creative and interesting.”
