After working and training hard for the past seven weeks, Savannah State’s football team is ready to get back on the field and play.
Starting March 27, the football team will begin their spring practice leading up to their spring scrimmage on April 27 at 1 p.m.
With new head football coach, Shawn Quinn, Savannah State’s football team is expected to see a major difference in their spring practices and game along with the upcoming football season in the fall.
“What to expect from us this spring? We are going to play hard, physical and fast and learn everything mentally,” says defensive back, Jabari Jaudon.
Once the team returns from Spring Break, the football team will begin practicing at T.A. Wright Stadium. With the Anderson/Cohen Weightlifting Center being their new workout facility, the team has not only improved, but also made a few changes to their workouts to better their attributes and teamwork.
“We got a brand new exciting team, a new brand of football and a whole bunch of new things coming,” Quinn said.
