The Savannah State University football team could be seen practicing Wednesday despite canceled classes due to the threat of Hurricane Michael.

The men are scheduled to play Morgan State on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. in Ted A. Wright Stadium.

Savannah State athletic activities are still scheduled to resume, as planned. The next scheduled event is the women's volleyball match against Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Fla. on Friday.

Savannah State canceled classes for Wednesday, Oct. 10, and Thursday, Oct. 11 due to the threat of inclement weather. A tornado watch was issued for Chatham County until 2 a.m. Thursday.

Any changes due to weather will be posted on the Savannah State Athletics website at ssuathletics.com
