Savannah State emerged victorious on senior night and the final home game of the 2017-2018 season at Tiger Arena, as the men's basketball team beat the Eagles of North Carolina Central 85 -75.

Savannah State men's basketball has had an epic season. It all started in January with their road game against Coppin State. Senior guard Javaris Jenkins with 19 points, and Dexter Mclanahan with 16 points and 10 rebounds in that game.

With a 34-point blowout against Middle Georgia State, the Tigers won their first game of the season on Nov. 15 in the Tiger Arena. Junior guard Dexter McClanahan was the star of the game, leading the Tigers with his 26 points, shooting five 3-pointers and closing the evening with three steals.

The Lady Tigers finished 12-19 overall and 8-8 in the conference this season. There is a whopping eight seniors that are on the roster and will be graduating this year.

Savannah State men's basketball team finished in the top 5 in the MEAC conference (13-16 overall, 10-6 conference). The Tigers were ranked 3rd in the nation in 3-point shots made with 392, and 1st in 3-pointers per game with 13.5.
