On Monday, the Savannah State University Tigers pulled off a win against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks on the road.

The game was fast-paced; however, the points lagged.

Toward the end of the first half, both teams’ offenses picked up. The Tigers and Hawks ended the half tied 29-29.

In the second half of the game, the Tigers' largest lead of the night was 10 points. In the final seconds of the game, the Hawks were heavy on defense which drew a foul, allowing Tigers guard Zach Sellers to go to the free throw line to shoot a basket.

Sellers had 17 points for the night, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, playing 36 minutes. The Tigers ended the game with a rebound and a score of 68-63 for a road win.
