Faith Dickerson is a junior pitcher on the Savannah State University softball team. 

Q: Why did you decide to attend SSU? 

A: I decided to go to Savannah State because of softball and my major. I got recruited rather early by savannah making it one of my top choices, and I enjoyed the city when I came on my visit. 

Q: Who has influenced you the most in your softball career? 

A: My family. Not a lot of people play sports, so they really are proud of all that I’ve accomplished.  


Q: Would you prefer home or away games? Why? 

A: I prefer home games. It’s nothing more exciting than getting a win at home in front of fans and family.  

Q: Where do you see yourself after college? 

A: I want to be a sports agent, so I see myself continuing to purse that. 

Q: What is your biggest accomplishment off the field? 

A: My biggest off the field accomplishment is being on tract to graduate in 4 years, and being inducted in the future black lawyers’ association.   

Q: What is your most memorable moment on the field? 

A: Winning a big rivalry game is my most memorable moment on the field. I pitched 12 innings straight.  

The Savannah State softball team will begin its season in the Spring Semester.
