I attended Thunderbolt's regular monthly meeting. The officials felt they were blindsided when they found out about CAT's decision to eliminate bus stops through the media. Some elderly residents were affected. A meeting of the minds is needed to resolve this.

New buildings will not have within their walls the history of structures that preceded them. What is even more tragic are no efforts to erect markers attesting to the fact this campus once upon a time had buildings with significance. I am witnessing a decline of the HBCU aspect of Savanna…
Can a marker be placed somewhere in the area of this "new building " as a testimony to who Melvin Bostic was? I am surprised no one from among the student has not come out to the Savannah community letting us know what is taking place on the campus.
I am sure that Ben Chavis as well as those who sponsored him realize that while the students may stand on his and other shoulders of those who waged the struggle in the '60s, this is the 21st century now. Strategic tactics have to be used.
